Postcode entered, mcnuggets scoffed, we set out on our way down the A63, picking up some more FNM members at Goole we take a glance back to see miles of headlights glaring back at us.. it seemed we had a 30-40 car convoy which was great, except the jolly old sat nav sending us via all the backroads, littered with speed cameras and police officers hiding around every corner.. but it was no great shakes as we sat to every speed limit on the way in, as lets be fair.. if theres a rumour of a cruise going down, the police are all over it like a tramp on chips so it was to be expected.
Arriving 15 minutes before ' start ' time the FNM team got some good spaces, right in the middle of the cruise and it was a good job we did. Within minutes queues of cars from all over the region piled into the carpark. The cars where of good standard as well which wasn't to be expected as we are still technically ' off season ' but its fair to say Barnsley had it big time !
The Modified Nationals car proved to be a big attraction with scores of people keen to get a photo of it and its good to see FNM sponsors Elite Bodyworx & CSM Designs work being appreciated. FNM had an exclusive shoot of this vehicle before it got wrapped ( check out the other blog articles )
One of the biggest surprises of the night was a tidy little Golf which then turned into a low-level, alarm agitating beast with its major bass drops it was setting off car alarms from several metres away and with flames from a VW caddy, mixtures of french hot hatches and jap drift cars UKCC1 was a cruise worth hitting !
