Report : Modified Nationals 2011 ~ Access all areas ~

The big one, the big Kahuna...bigger than jack black's pants!.. thats how we would describe Modified Nationals. It sets the standards in modified car shows in the U.K & with this year being its 5th year at the Peterborough showground its a sure thing that all the best cars from the country would be there and of course , us to !

With an estimated 20,000 people attending nationals over the bank holiday weekend the atmosphere in the week running up to the event was electric, cars being finished off last minute from body shops across the country, campers packing tents and stocking up on booze and food.

Friday morning and everybody is hyped up for a weekend of top cars, ladies, tunes and of course a few cheeky beers !

We arrived nice and early (RM//Photography) to catch some of the cars queuing up and get photos of the FNM Cars rolling in but it seems after 4 years practice there where hardly any queues at the gate and traffic flowed freely all day.
Tents seemed to appear in no time at all, gracing the lush green fields of the showground and turning them into a multi coloured, rave tent infested masterpiece!

The weekend featured traders such as Cobra, Vibe, Fusion, Autoglym, Aclr8, Dodo Juice to name but a few and 2 top body shops including Elite Bodyworx and Kream. Both body shops packing some top modified goodness including supras, skylines, celicas etc.

The busiest area of the show was the impressive exibition center, the Autoglym backed Top 25 was as popular as ever leaving us in total awe of the standard and presentation of the cars on display. The judges must have had a nightmare of a time trying to find any faults or flaws in the top 25 due to the high standards set.

The drive in showcar section presented some very nice cars including a lovely new shape punto with blue detailing, a supercharged swift, dimma kitted 206 amongst several other top modified cars.

Thats enough waffling for now, we'll let you enjoy some photos..
